My status has been at “ready for decision” for the last 6 months, however, around 1 pm PST, it had changed to “Pending Student Response.” Anybody know what this means?

Just got off the phone with admissions (my son received the same status). They said it means the student has the option to be added to the wait list, and an email should be coming from the admissions office either today or tomorrow.
I just got off the phone and he said that I’m put on the wait list and I have to wait for the other students to make their decision if they want to attend or not and will be notified by May 1st.
For those of you who received the “Pending Student Response” status, what major did you all apply for? I applied for Computer Science.
I just got off the phone as well. ( my son received the same status) the kid that helped me at the office didn’t seem to know much about it but said my kid was on a wait list and would be notified in about 3 weeks if he got accepted or not. ( sigh)
do they put us on the wait list or do we do it ourselves?? And for everyone on it they will all be notified by May 1st?

Just got it with Electrical Engineering. So this means we’re waitlisted?
I got the same thing for Biology. I wonder if this means that we weren’t good enough to receive a provisional admission but not bad enough that we got rejected. I checked the website and if you’re wait listed, you will receive a final decision by July 1st! ):
@DNuge98 Did you get “Pending Student Response” that changed to “Provisional Admit”? In otherwords, did you just get accepted after the status changed to “Pending Student Response”?
I applied for Biology. I’m hoping that we all get in. does anyone know the chances or incidence we have of getting in? also did anyone get the email yet?
Cool down guys… ‘Pending Student Response’ indicates we are waitlisted. This is a transition status until we receive a email through which we can accept/reject our waitlist status. Too bad, they do not have have this status explanation when clicking on the “Application Status” Help!
