So that means all intl decisions are made.
Why don't they just send them all out then, not just to the oversea applicants?

so they can torture us XP

This week feels like the longest week in history even though I don't even have school on Friday (Will I be able to enjoy the day off? Of course not - Northwestern's decision is on Friday night or Saturday). I think all of the pressure related events coming due this one week (not just NU's decision) are getting to me (and to probably everyone else).

i want no school on friday!! this week is feeling long cause its teh week before break for me .haha.. senior year is going by wayyyyyyyyyy too slowly

I have a four day week this week and a three and a half day week next week before my break.

m3ssi - I'll be thinking about you on Friday. :)

i have no school friday either

get this, you guys. i think my school is cursed.
-2 years ago, my bio teacher's mother died. they hired a sub to replace her for when she went to india to perform her mother's last rites, and then the SUB's mother died. my bio teacher had to come back for a couple of days and sub for her sub
-pretty much all the female teachers got divorced that summer
-that summer, a girl in our class died in a car accident
-3 more teachers' mothers died
-a student (and my good friend :() killed himself earlier this year
-my teacher's son just died in Iraq
-this kid on my bus and one of his friends died in a car crash 2 days ago, the kid on my bus's girlfriend is in a coma and might have to have her arm amputated

...yeah so obviously all the students and teachers are a wreck right now. but really. kind of makes you wonder why we stress out about things like getting into college so much. other things are so much more important...like living life and being with the people you love. i for one am in no mood to be all freaked out about northwestern anymore. if they don't want me, i'm sure i'll get upset...but everyone should remember there are much more important things in life than getting into college. nothing reminds you of this more than having so many people you know die.

:) reeses, while ur at home halfway between relaxing and panicking.. i will be scrambling to finish notebook entries on The House of the Spirits for my english class while trying to pay attention to why the circut boards and light bulbs work. (physics) Hey, only a few weeks left till NU decisons come out. Good luck! What was i doing the week of ED decisons.. oh yea. whining to my teacher about how i was going to get rejected and how i cant wait to find out. What did i do the day admissions came out online? too chicken to check -_-. <---weirdo. and then spent a month thinking i was accepted on accident.. :)

Wow. That's just plain bad luck on the school as a whole. :(
Luckily, you'll be out of there soon.

I'm about in that same position as you are on NU. It won't be the end of the world if I don't get in since I still have Michigan (A guy from there called me a few hours ago, and we talked for about ten minutes. I thought it was really cool that they did that, but I also thought that he was going to smite me when I said that I was waiting on another school-especially since it's Northwestern). I'd still like to get in though.

m3ssi - LOL. I'm afraid I'll chicken out, too. You mean a few days till we find out, don't you? ;)

wait a sec...

are decisions emailed or available on that one page where you go to check your status or both????

They're on the one page where you check your status. The e-mail only says that you can look up your decision online if you want (so you don't have to do so and because it's a more secure area on the Internet).

I'm not even worried anymore. Seriously, I read that thing about the 18,000 applicants and I know for sure that I wasn't in the top 15% of that. Still I wish all of you luck, but I don't even think it is worth my time and worry to check, I think I'll just pretend that I didn't even apply.

what a waste of 65 bucks, then :) you have to check!

reeses.. yea.. my bad.. a few days...3 in fact at the earliest..

i never got an email from northwestern! this is probably a bad sign...

No one got an e-mail from NU yet (you're fine). They'll be sending them on Saturday. We found out the date by calling them, people we know talking to them, etc.

They usually send the e-mails out well after they post the decisions. I got my e-mail the day after the decisions were posted. However, when you do decide to check your decisionand go onto the application status screen you will immediately see if you are accepted or not. If you are accepted it will say:

Congratulations, (First Name)!

We are pleased that you have been admitted to the (Preferred School) at Northwestern University. This decision recognizes your outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.

From that page, there are several links that provide a lot of helpful information. If you do decide to attend Northwestern, then you can view deposits received, activate your NETID, register for freshmen seminars, etc. It also has all of the important deadlines listed on the front page so you can refer to that if you forget anything.

wow. i almost feel like i got an acceptance letter on this board. lollll aw, only time i'll be seeing those words.. on here XP

yeah. i really really hate how it's one click and it's overl ike that. w/ the first word u can tell. honestly. anyway, i'm just gonna find out when they're up by looking at this board
someone's bound to do the 'THEY'RE UP' post

i certainly don't wanna find out first and be that poster, lol

what will it say for the rejects, like me? lol wahhhh haha

I'm going away all Friday and Saturday for a drama competition. We are staying the night in a hotel and coming back at about 4 am sunday. I'm in a dilemma of wheather to call my parents and have them look, or wait till Sunday, or try to find a computer at the school the competition is at.

do they send the letters of admission via FedEx for US acceptees too? or is that just international kids?
