they're going to tell you that theres no way to check supplementary information...you just have to hope that it got there ok.

Where is everyone seeing whether or not recs, transcript etc have been received? I got an email confirming my Common App submission, but all it says on the application status page is "All required documents were received." Does that mean both recs, the transcript and the school report were received, or should I be seeing yes/no for each individual thing?

wait yea how did you see if your individual things were received (ie: teacher recs were but school report isn't). As far as i know they just say that "all required documents were received".

cjjc419,

how do you know that you're recs were received but not the school report?

i guess you can only see that when something is missing. mine says "recommendation letters: not received" and "secondary school report: not received" ...they were sent in late december and usps says they were delivered so i guess they havent been processed yet. how long does it usually take them to process these things? should i be worried and call ?

if i submited a supplementary material, is it supposed to show up on the status page as well?

It doesn't show up.

i submitted my app 12/31, but i haven't heard from them period. no access code, no anything. is THAT normal? i haven't been able to check anything.

I got a stern email from the fileroom at Harvard about the application materials; I'll copy it here.

"We ask that you please be patient as we process applications for our anticipated 23,000 applicants. Teacher Evaluations, School Reports, as well as other supplementary material must make its way from our mailroom to our fileroom where it is alphabetized, filed and then entered into the computer. If if these documents were submitted on line they still go through part of this process. It can be a day or two after the day that we first received it in the building. Additionally, our web site updates itself once per day, so things may not show up on-line until the next day.

If you just submitted your application (with in the past few days) it is still being processed and has not been merged with the documents you sent prior. Please give us at least a week to put the parts of your application together before checking your status on line."

I don't know why they sent the email though...I'd already finished everything a week before...O_o

i still haven't received my PIN number/access code. i submitted my app 12/31. should i be worried?

I submitted mine on 12/31 via mail. But I did not hear a thing from Harvard, not an email, not anything. Why?? By the way, I am from Canada.

We are in the same boat mate (I'm Canada too). I'm actually worried about this just a little bit, but then again they received an usually high number of applicants this year so it may take a while for them to process through everything.

If Harvard never emailed me, is that bad? I got an interview scheduled and all, which means they received my app, but they haven't formally acknowledged it...
