Does anybody else still have this letter on the status page?

Thank you for your Regular Decision application for Dartmouth's Class of 2012.

We are presently processing the materials we have received from you. Given the unusually large volume of application materials that we received this year, we are unable to check on the receipt of individual forms at this time.

We had originally planned to notify you about the status of your application this week (the week of February 4). However, with the significant increase in application volume weve experienced this year, we are not yet able to post this update. Nevertheless, as soon as we assemble your materials for evaluation, we will post a status update to this page. Our revised plan is to notify you, should your application still be incomplete, during the first week of March.

We appreciate your interest in Dartmouth and your patience. We look forward to reviewing your application.

We have received all materials necessary to begin the review of your Regular Decision application. Should we have any questions or require further materials from you, we will contact you directly via email or telephone. If you have not already done so, please check your email address to be sure we have your current email on record.

Candidates will be notified of their admissions decisions at the end of March.

We appreciate your interest in Dartmouth and are pleased to be evaluating your application.

Don't worry, they are probably just not ready sorting all the materials and stuff. If they ask you to be patient, do that. If there was something wrong, they would tell you. I bet there are plenty of other applicants in your situation.

I would def. call...no harm in getting the assistant who answers the phone to check to see if anything is wrong since they are only a couple of weeks away from being done (considering they will notify late March---you figure they are done at least a week before they post decisions, just for the sake of double checking everything, lining everything up, etc.)

As one of the people answering the phones, I would say don't call just yet. We're still not done, so all any of us can do is give you the same stuff you see on the website if your application hasn't been processed yet.

I can't access my application status. It says that my request appears to have been forged. Does anyone have the same situation. Is it necessary to contact help@dartmouth.edu ???

There have been funny little errors with it lately. At some point, EVERYONE had two menus, then one and now I can't access any menus.

I got a likely letter though so it's entirely possible that they just removed the "We've received your application" thing because it's redundant. Still pretty terrifying when Dartmouth suddenly removed the "Undergraduate Applicant Menu."

Mine said complete for a while then eventually EVERYTHING went down. I called admissions and they said that they had removed everything and would put up that menu again when it came time to announce decisions.

"We are now in the final stages of our decision making process. Details regarding decision notification will be sent to you via email and posted on this page during the last week of March. If you have not done so recently, please check to make sure we have your correct email address on file."

final stages.........kind of sounds like a terminal illness!

According to the Application Status thingie (Yes, I got it fixed :) ), they'll email your decisions too.

And Coop, be positive. I didn't think that I had a hope at getting in and I got a likely letter. You never know with the Ivy Leagues, I'm still in a state of utter disbelief that I'll be attending one.
