Application Submission Date on Columbia Decision Portal

<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>So I just logged into my portal to check if everything's working before decisions come out, and noticed that it says :</p>

<pre><code> Submission Status: Submitted
Submitted Date: 1/4/2012 EST
</code></pre>

<p>on the bottom of the page. However, I submitted all components of my application by 12/31/2011, which is also the date it shows on CommonApp (CommonApp also says Columbia downloaded my application on 12/31/2011). So why does it show 1/4/2012? I just don't want them to mistakenly think I submitted my app late... It didn't show anything like this when I tracked the completion of my application on their admissions website portal in the past few months.</p>

<p>What does it show on your guys' decision portals (the website Columbia sent in an email a few days ago: app.applyyourself.com/blahblah)?</p>

<p>Sorry, I'm just really nervous and paranoid :(</p>

<p>Mine says the same thing.</p>

<p>If it says 12/31 or 1/1 on the Common App preview date, that’s what they’re going by. They probably downloaded and finished processing it by 1/4.</p>

<p>Thanks, I called the office just now and they say it’s fine and the date shown is after they processed everything. :)</p>
