Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone could give me insight as to whether the Application Supplement would be the appropriate vehicle through which I showcase a social entrepreneurial venture for which I'm particularly proud? Rather than a music tape or CD should I check "Other" and cite my company's website and press reports? Or would the whole thing look too ridiculous.

Yale has some pragmatic advice about supplementary materials, which would also apply to Harvard.

Only YOU can make the determination if your supplemental materials are really extraordinary or if they would detract from the required materials.

Perhaps you could have your “social entrepreneurial venture” showcased through an additional reference to be provided by someone who can be trusted to speak about the benefits of your venture. Just an idea. Best of luck in your applications.

@gibby based on the advice that “most successful applicants submit only the items that we require,” should I not submit the supplementary essay? or subject test scores?

I have a feeling that this logic only applied to the supplementary materials portion of applications.
