<p>I am currently filling out an application for Clemson University and at the end there is an optional box labeled "Candidates Comments" This is like an optional essay asking us to add anything that would be necessary for their review of the application. Is it important to fill this out? </p>
<p>Yes! It’s your chance to tell them what they don’t know about you. Think of it like a mandatory personal statement. It definitely helps your odds of admission.</p>
<p>I don’t know if I would say it’s “mandatory” but it’s definitely a good place to write about something that may not be seen from the “numbers” on your application or why you want to go to Clemson etc…</p>
