application

hi, what will happen to my application if there is one extremely silly gramatical mistake i oversaw even after reading the application 456789865432 times?

DAMMIT!@#$^&%@!~

(please tell me that officers understand and will forgive you once, instead of throwing it in the trash (ok, maybe i took that a bit too far ...))

do they understand that its possible to make a mistake or do they just not take it well

this mistake is not on my essay, its rather on my additional info page .. (i checked my essay, not mistakes there ..)

anyone have any experience with this?

It is inconsequential. :)

Oh, puh-leese. That should be the least of your worries. If they were all that harsh, very few people would get in, methinks.

I agree. If you're otherwise desirable, they're not going to kick you out because of a stupid boo-boo. Ya' think all the other apps are perfect? It ain't so.

phew!! my boo-boo wont hurt me so much now ... i feel better

i was just thiknking it might put them off, you know, after he/she reads comes accross the mistake, they might forget about everything else and think about how the hell i managed something so dumb ...

lala56 - You got some wonderful advice from the other posts on this thread and I couldn't agree more.

We are not nit-picky in the way we review applications. We understand minor mistakes. Though we don't love it when there are misspellings (esp. when you spell Johns Hopkins wrong), we don't expect perfection.
