Applications without Writing Supplements

I am applying to UNC-CH for next fall and I cannot find any space where I can say why I want to attend UNC-CH specifically. There is the CommonApp general essay and the short writing (1000 characters) essay and the optional essay but those are being seen by all the colleges I am applying to so it wouldn't make much sense for me to single out UNC on those. On its supplement it asks me about my criminal record and if I have legacy, but there is no "why come here" essay that I would really like to write. I've heard people say they tailor their general essay to each individual school and send each one a different essay, is that a possibility?

Thanks to anyone that can help!

You can create a different version of the Common App and modify the main essay.

Thanks a lot anon!

But the original version of the commonapp essay I sent won’t change once I make the replication, right?

No.

Ten characters.
