Applications!

What part of an applicants application do they focus most on? Also, which is more harmful to your application: An amazing SSAT score and decent grades (2 As 3Bs) or Amazing grades but a decent SSAT score (75-80% tile). I am looking to apply for a more selective school.

Grades are much more important than SSATs but if you were to have stunning grades mostly A+s with a couple of As and you had a low ssat score 50s, 60s, or low 70s it might say that your school has grade inflation. So the best is to have mostly As with a high SSAT score (85 or higher).

@bschoolsearcher‌ I have a 89% average and a 95 %-tile on the SSAT Would this average affect me a lot?

When I applied, I was told by one admission’s counselor at a TSAO that the application was divided into three parts weighted equally: Grades, Extracurriculars, and Personal (Essay, Interview, How You’d Be Involved in the School & if you’d fit into the community well, etc.)
