Applied in December...does that hurt my chances?

What I mean is: How much does rolling admissions matter?

I applied mid december for UP and haven't recieved a decision yet (for college of engineering). I applied kinda late, so I was wondering, how much will the late application hurt my chances getting into engineering? Assuming that my stats are normal, not too bad but not amazing either, does rolling admissions really hurt your chances that much?

If there’s room in your major then probably not. Unfortunately space fills up fast and early.

The College of Engineering is very competitive and not applying by the priority deadline could certainly hurt your chances. (In the College of Engineering students are not accepted into specific majors until their junior year.) You can “chance yourself” here–

What about if you applied “undecided”?

conventional wisdom is that if you apply after the priority date of Nov 30 the admission standards increase so your chances decrease. good luck.
