Applied Physics?

Anyone interested in this field?

Note that many schools are "School of Engineering and APPLIED SCIENCE" ;p

I have considered it...but I don't really know enough about it (or applied math, which I feel the same way about). Anyone know the difference between engineering physics and applied physics?

bump anyone have any idea?

from my physics professor last year, he said its not a very marketable degree. Its like engineering, physics and math, more on the physics and math side, which is actually really useful, so i don't know if he's right or not.

It's not marketable in a business sense, as it leads more into research and academia.

there are a lot of companies looking for math and physics people.
