applied & sent transcript in october, tells me never received help!!

ok, so long story short. I applied in early october for spring 13. I submitted all my documentations including last semester spring grades. However, I was told late november that no record of it was shown. I contacted them about this, and all they told me was resubmit it since I still got time. I did, and now it has been a week and they still tell me they didn't get it. I'm starting to panic now. I just got an email saying deadline is the 14th (2 days from now to complete my application.) What am I suppose to do. I spoke with the regisatar at my school and they told me there's record that my transcript was sent TWICE. HELPPPPP

I applied as early as possible and now its biting me in the ass. Even if I happen to get accepted, I'm already opt out of housing because of how late it is.

Make sure it was sent properly to the right address, email , etc. It would be strange if they never got it but your school sent it twice or more times.

I’m certain I sent it to the right address. I literally copied letter for letter on their web page.At this point, I’m hopeless. I sent it the very same week registration open. It took them a whole month or more to notify me that my application is still missing. Now, a week before deadline they tell me to resend it. I did, and now they tell me it is nowhere to be found. This is beyond preposterous. I don’t know how any of this is my fault. I’m just very frustrated and stressed all at once.

Yeah this is very strange. Is this the only school you are applying to? Make sure you got other back ups

Yes, my only school. I was confident on my admission to this school because I was accepted last semester but had to defer due to personal reasons. Only difference is my gpa is higher now. I completed the whole application process like I did last year, I just don’t what went wrong.

I wish you luck!

Perhaps a copy can be faxed (or e-mailed) to someone in the office you’ve been communicating with???

How would that work. My school registrar does have a fax number. However, I believe it’ll be claimed as unofficial which won’t help.

I would ask the school registrar to contact the person in Binghamton’s Admissions Office that you’ve been dealing with. S/he should confirm that it’s been sent twice in the mail but for whatever reason seems to have not been received, and s/he can ask about faxing/e-mailing it. It’s at least worth a shot. If nothing else, it will get the two offices talking to each other about how to handle the situation so you’re not penalized.

One other thought - would there be a difference in how your name is shown on the transcript than it is on your application file? I’m a parent of a current senior, and one of his potential colleges showed part of his application as missing. It turns out that the name didn’t exactly match and so they hadn’t put the pieces correctly together.

No doubt this is very frustrating for you. Best of luck in getting it straightened out!
