Applied to CUNY; documents missing...help!

hi all.

i applied to CUNY for fall 2010. i called them and they told me that my application was complete and i was admitted. i even visited them in person and they said the same thing.

however, now i called them and they told me i had a document missing and i was not admitted! i spoke to the supervisor (in person and on the phone) and he told me that he would review my documents one more time and tell me on Monday whether or not they would accept them or not. if not, i will have to submit the proper documents.

first of all, i am outraged because i was not admitted because of THEIR mistake. secondly, according to their website and the supervisor, they will keep admitting people as space permits.

now my question is: if i submit the last document by the next week, do you think i will be admitted for fall 2010? in other words, do you think there will be seats available if i give them the documents as soon as possible?

pleasee reply soon, i am very worried!! thank you.

We wouldn’t know.

Administrative mistakes are unfortunate for the people affected and I am sorry this happened to you. I had a friend who was rejected from NYU for graduate school because her application was put into the wrong pile (international instead of domestic applicant). It wasn’t notices until after the program had made acceptance offers and was in the process of sending out the rejection letters. She was offered a late interview and was placed on a waitlist but no more spots opened up…

Good luck to you!
