<p>I applied to F.I.U. in October, and got a defer letter in the last November. So sad, any chances to get in? My GPA is 3.43 U/W and 450/620/450 for the SAT. I am taking the SAT again on this Saturday and the ACT on February(Have never taken it before). What are my chances?? =(</p>

<p>I’m sorry, with these stats you had a decent shot. If you raise your CR and W scores to 500 you should be okay, especially if you can push your UW to 3.5.
What other universities are you applying to?
You have a shot at Florida southern and Nova Southeastern I think, plus UWF, USF St Pete’s, and definitely FGC.
Seek out Gator88 s/he typically knows what’s what with Florida publics.</p>
