I applied to UC San Diego, and I can't for the life of me tell if I need to have my high school send my official transcripts. I reread over my already submitted application and I didn't see any mention of needing or not needing transcripts.

Anyone else apply to a UC school? Do we need to send our transcripts?

No you do not send transcripts until after you get accepted to a UC because you self-reported the UC a-g approved courses you took. Same applies for college transcripts assuming you took courses in a CCC

Tech is right. I used to think that your school sends your transcript right after you submit your grades. But that’s not the case, your school will send the transcript after you have been accepted, so the school will decide if you get in or not based on what you I putted on you application. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you enter the correct information because falified information is cause for recindication.
