Apply for Nomination

I am a junior in High School. I know that on all of the literature and websites it says "candidates should apply for a nomination in the spring of their junior year," but in what month is a good time. Also, I recieved literature from WP saying to contact my senators, congressman immediately. I know that the VP won't accept requests until March, but should I contact the other sources now? Thanks in advance.

You should establish contact with their offices just so that they know you are interested. Fill out the applications over the summer and have them in by late September. Most deadlines fall in mid October, with interviews being held late October-early December. The big thing to knock out over the summer is the DoDMERB exam.

Most offices will have a date that the application becomes available. Like futurewarrior said, contact them now and tell them you're interested and they'll probably send you a letter back telling you when the app opens.

The nice thing about having the apps before junior year ends is that you can request recommendation letters from your teachers early. Once senior year starts, they will be deluged with requests. They'll appreciate having the summer to work on them.
