Applying after gap year, should I retake SATs and newly take SAT subject tests?

So, I'm in the middle of my second gap year actually- I have a multitude of reasons why I had to take gap years -from financial reasons, overstressed from too much studying(slept 4 hours a day in last years of highschool...) and because I wanted learn things without a curriculum or homework and just go on and discover things and what not. My family was also having a hard time with other things.

Anyway, I already took the SAT during my junior to senior year in High School like 4 times.
And I believe that I can score higher on the SAT now, So should I retake the SAT? Do Schools question why I take the SAT soo many times or whatnot?

I found a lot of new schools and a new field(major) that I want to apply to after my experiences during my gap years. Will it help if I take 2 SAT Subject tests that I have never
taken before? Will it be less significant since I've taken the tests after HS graduation?

Sorry for the hoard of questions! I can't find any websites for people who apply after they take their gap years.

If the SAT II exams are necessary, or advisable, for admission at that particular institution and/or for admission in that particular major, then take them.

Your general SAT exam results would still be valid. If you have solid evidence that a re-take will increase your score significantly, and you don’t mind spending the money and giving up that Saturday morning, go ahead and re-take it. You also could take the ACT instead and just submit that score if you prefer.

OKay thanks for your reply!

I like the ACT idea, I do want to apply for a Biology major so ACT is probably a good idea.
