<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I am interested in applying for a transfer to brown in spring 2009. but I know that even the application transfers are competitive. I am a freshman in the school that I am currently at now-- are there any suggestions to the things I should do to make my application more competitive? I am really interested in the academics at brown and would definitely love to pursue my academic interests at brown next year.</p>

<p>you can make your application more competitive in the same ways a freshman can. the main difference is the transfer essay (personal statement) which usually is heavy on the "why transfer to brown" component, so you'll really need to develop that with specific, unique examples / reasons. pm me for help. </p>

<p>i hope you mean apply in spring 2009, because you can't enroll in spring 2009.</p>
