Applying as Undecided?

Hey there!
Quick Question: Does applying to a college as an undecided major have any impact on your chances of being accepted?

It depends what you are comparing. If you are comparing to CS, is is likely easier to the same. To Psychology, is is likely equal. Compared to something like Classics, it may be harder to equal.

It depends on the school. Some schools admit by major, some don’t. If you apply undecided to a school that admits by major it may be harder to get into the major you want later, if it is a popular one.

Compared to a major that is more popular than the departmental capacity for that major at the college, it may, if the college admits by major.

Note that if the major is more popular than the departmental capacity for that major at the college, changing into that major after enrolling as undeclared or in a different major may require a high college GPA or competitive admission later.
