Applying at Midwestern LACs

Hi, I am a huge advocate of small colleges (less then 3000 students MAX) and took 4 of my colleges out of CTCL. I do not really look at selectivity as a indicator of how good a college is, but what students do once they leave, and what kind of people they are, therefore I am applying mostly to colleges that are not as well known.

Financial Aid very important

bumpity bump

anyone? c'mon

You have an excellent shot at all schools.

I'd say you're in at Knox and Beloit. (I'm also applying to Knox. whoo!)

If financial aid important, then Knox and Beloit should give you a lot of need-based aid.

^i have to disagree. you have decent chances at all schools except grinnell which is definitely a reach.

could you elaborate? The only thing that does not match up with grinnell is my class rank, but they only have around 60-70% top 10%. Also I have a very strong ACT score, and With music and Eagle Scout, very strong extra curriculars

You should be solid at Knox. Their football coach basically told me I should have no problem getting in with similar stats.

Knox is a very good school from all i've gathered, which reminds me, I need to apply there ASAP.

The only one im worried about it Grinnell, and maybe St. Olaf a little

based on your stats and what you said about recs and essays, I'd say you have very good shot and most likely get into all except Grinnell. I don't know anything about Cornell College though

By the way I'm applying to St. Olaf too hehe
