Applying early action?

A couple of the schools I want to apply to offer early action and the early action acceptance rates are significantly higher that their rd rates (Tulane and Umiami). Also, I hear that you can only get the high merit scholarships (like the presidential scholarships) if you apply early.
The only thing that worries me, is that my gpa won't be good enough to get a scholarship anyways and I need senior year grades to improve my rank and gpa. I have had 5 bs throughout highschool (sophomore and freshman year), and am taking 5 aps this year and took two last year! Any thoughts?

You haven’t provided detailed stats so it’s not possible to answer your question. Include rank, GPA, SAT/ACT. Use Naviance (hopefully available to you) to review the stats of accepted students from your high school to Tulane and Univ of Miami.
