Applying Fall 2016 or Spring 2017

Hello, CC! I just had a really quick question I wanted to ask:

I only began the transfer process in late February, so it was impractical to apply to schools with March 1 deadlines. Now, I am wondering if it is more practical to apply to all the other schools I am interested in with upcoming deadlines now or to wait to apply “in-bulk” for the Spring/Fall 2017 semester.

I fully intend to enroll at any of the schools I’ll apply to provided the financial aspect is practical, but it would be nice to have a side by side comparison of all my potential options. (Assuming I am accepted at all, of course!)

So, what do you all think? Let me know if you need anymore information!

Depending on your GPA, stay longer at CC. If it is low than what you want it to be, then take the time and work on improving it because it will increase your chances. However, do not exceed the credit limit for the transfer requirements. If you have enough credits to transfer and you wanna get out of here, then apply for Spring 2017.

@awrecks Thank you for the thoughts and opinions! My GPA is a 4.0, and I have 61 credits so I’ve already graduated with my AA! If there’s anything to improve, I’m going back to taking the ACT/SAT over again, which may be the path of action soon since they’re nearing their age limit.

Anyway, I’ve decided to apply for a few schools now that don’t have the Spring 2017 option: Tufts and Vandy. As well as Swarthmore because I adore their program. (Actually the only school I’d planned to apply to, but things changed and I’ve found myself loving Tufts and Vandy as well.)
