Applying for aid AFTER acceptance

What happens if you apply for financial aid late, AFTER you have received an acceptance from that college?

I'm referring to need-blind schools like Dartmouth and Columbia and UPenn and Stanford. Will they be kind enough to still offer financial aid, if you demonstrate actual need?

Anybody have experience with that?

don’t read too much into that thread ( I think it is talking about schools that are not need blind )… because your schools are need-blind, if your circumstances have changed due to whatever, most schools will give you consideration.

To me…that is the KEY. If someone checks the “do not need financial aid” box when they are applying…it is my opinion that UNLESS their circumstances change they should not be given financial aid consideration.

BUT this is NOT the question being asked here or on that other thread…the question is…can they ask for financial aid AFTER they’ve been accepted and will the school give it. I think that is a nervy thing to do…unless your financial circumstances have changed.
