I recently was admitted into a need-blind school(which meets ~85% of need on average) ED. Because some circumstances have changed I recently found out that I qualify for a few thousand dollars in financial aid. Do you think they will give me anything? Additionally, if I didn't apply as an incoming freshman, can I apply later? Thank you

You need to ask this college/university about its specific financial aid policy.

Contact the financial aid office. Let them know that your circumstances have changed. Ask what you need to do to apply for aid.

If not getting the aid means this place is now unaffordable, you need to be working on a back-up plan.

I think that is a question that you need to ask financial aid. From what I have seen, need blind schools do not tend to penalize students who do not apply for financial aid, when they apply later. It’s the need aware schools that tend to do this. However, you need to look on the website for any mention of such policies and speak directly to a financial aid officer, asking specific questions. A general answer isn’t going to help you since all that matters is your particular situation.
