<p>I'm currently a sophomore at a 3rd tier university and I'm looking to transfer into Tisch's Drama Program as a junior. </p>
<p>My HS career is weak. I ended with a close to a 3.5 UW GPA and no EC's (I have clinical depression and it worsened throughout HS). SAT's I got a weak 1800. </p>
<p>College Career: I picked myself up a bit. I ended my freshman year with a 3.86 GPA. I took a few theater classes (though I haven't declared it a major) along with core curriculum courses (Psych, English, Lit, etc.). I'm talking 3 theater courses this semester along with an Economics and a Shakespeare lit course. I'm also in the Sophomore Honors society.</p>
<p>Along with that, I don't really have a resume as an actor. I'll have running crew experience and I've been in 2 short films (one of which was directed by a friend from NYU), but my school's already cast its plays throughout December. Come January when I have my audition, I won't have much to put on it. Does this, along with a lack of real college EC's, make my application detrimental? I have taken Acting I and II freshman year and I'm currently in Advanced scene study, if that helps. </p>
<p>On the positive side, I have a lot of community serice hourse, along with the community service I'll be doing with my Honors society this semester. The two recommendations I'm getting from my 2 professors should be great. If I write a great transfer essay along with strong personal statements, is there a chance of me getting in with a strong audition or am I hopeless?</p>
