Applying For Winter 2014 Transfer- Please Chance Me!

Hi There!

I am a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. I will be leaving this winter and am applying to Umich, Northwestern, and Notre Dame. I applied to Umich out of High School and was accepted but chose to attend USNA. Below are my stats, please be honest! I appreciate everyone's feedback!

High School Stats

3.89 UW/4.1 Weighted
ACT 30
Individual ACT M:33 S:30 R:30 E:32, best composite: 30

College Stats

35 credits from USNA so far, 16 Pending. Will have 51 total by start of spring term

Taken:

CALC I,II,III,Diff EQ
CHEM I,II
PHYSICS I
Intro to Economics
8 Years of Chinese Classes
Rank 550/1100

Currently Total GPA- 3.0
Current Semester GPA- 4.0
GPA prior to transfer- 3.31

I am worried since the Academy is so different from most other places and they do not give + or - grades, just straight A,B,C, or D. Also the rigor is the highest of anywhere I have heard of. Please let me know of my chances for transfer in winter!

Thanks everyone!

The Naval Academy no doubt is rigorous but so is NU and so are most of the other highly selective schools. At any rate grades aside I think you would likely need to be nearer the top of the class for a realistic chance of admission.
