Applying to American as a HS Junior

I’m a rising junior, although almost a year older than most of my classmates. My Stats are solidly above the 75th percentile for accepted students. I was wondering if anyone had any information on whether or not my junior status would be detrimental to my application and if anyone had tried applying to American as a junior?

Thanks!

I’m pretty sure you have to be a senior…

I don’t see anything on the website barring junior admission, but you would have to comply with the following: “Freshman applicants who follow the U.S. educational system should have completed at least 16 college preparatory secondary school units. We require that you have 4 units in English, 3 units in academic mathematics, including the equivalent of 2 units in algebra and 1 unit of geometry, at least 2 units of laboratory science, at least 2 units of social science and 2 units of foreign language. Successful candidates for admission have usually completed a rigorous college preparatory course of study that goes beyond the minimum requirements above.”

FYI: Federal financial aid regulations require you to be a high school graduate or have a GED in order to qualify for financial aid. So that could be an issue if you need financial aid and are not officially graduating early.

OP is either really stupid or a ■■■■■■ for leaving out lots of info. knowing all of us here would have questions about why, how, etc s/he is applying to college early and how they are doing it. lol
