Hey, I successfully applied as a junior this year and here is my advice:

Apply to more schools than St. Paul’s. For new juniors sometimes it really isn’t about credentials, it is more about what the school needs and what it can afford.

Also make sure when you visit schools you ask if they are taking new juniors and or how many. It is not unreasonable at all, all the schools were very honest with me. Some said we will take 10 girls while others said we are pretty much closed.

The fact that you play a fall sport should really help. Schools want to know that you are socially ready and involved. They want to make sure you will hit the ground running since your junior year is your hardest year.

I hope this helps! Sorry it was so long

Thanks for replying, and it wasnt long at all! You said that, its more about what the school needs. Did you mean in like special talents or the amount of students for that year?

Sometimes it comes down to literal dorm space. Other times it may be that they need a football player that year or maybe a third chair flutist. I would just say that since chances are low for juniors, make sure to broaden your options. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions
