Applying to both NYU CAS, and NYU Stern... Hurts my chances??

NYU is one of the schools I really want to go to. And I want to major in something business-related, so I'm probably going to apply to Stern. But since Sern is more selctive, I'm really not sure I can get in. But I would still want to have NYU as an option, so I'm going to apply to the CAS as well. My question is: will applying to both schools hurt my chances at getting into either one? Will they even know i've applied twice? If so, will Stern think that I'm not that serious about going there because I also applied to the CAS??

NYU only allows you to apply to one college so they would not accept an application from both stern and CAS

You can't, but it makes no sense to go to NYU if you want something business related (unless you're thinking about MBA)

Ohhh I did not know that! I guess that gives me another tough decision to make :-\
xo akhila ox- i'm still not certain what i would want my major to be. It's b/w history and accounting/finance. So for history, NYU CAS would have made sense, and NYU Stern (the undergrad program) would have made sense for business.
