Applying to Drew University

I got a "priority application" in the mail today from Drew, and considering they offer Neuroscience, I'm going to apply. I've looked at their online profile and read reviews and seen the videos of Drew on CollegeClickTV.com, so I'm not applying blindly. I have a few questions for you guys:

1) I'm homeschooled, and I don't know what to do about the Teacher Evaluation and Counselor Evaluation sheets that came with the package. The only teachers I've had were at a community college here. I know that my biology professor may be able to fill it out, so since this is my first time asking for this type of thing, I need to know when a good time to send the app to her is. A month in advance? The application must be received by Drew by Nov. 19. Also, what do I do about the counselor sheet? Is it ok if I don't send it?

2) How do I ask the professor? Do I write her an email and send the application in the mail? She isn't teaching at the community college this semester, so I can't meet her in person. All help is appreciated!

3) The application doesn't require my SAT scores, but I want to send them anyway, as I think it would help get a scholarship. How do I send them? I have the copy of the scores which I received in the mail, but if other colleges want my SAT scores, I'd be stuck. How do I send the scores to them?

4) I have my transcript from four of the five courses I've taken at a community college. Should I make a copy and send it with the application?

Thanks so much!

1.) Get on those recommendations ASAP and tell the professors about your deadline! They most likely will do it.
2.) E-mailing your professor would be fine and sending the application forms for her in the mail would be fine also. Be sure to send a detailed resume to her with these forms, so she can highlight everything you want and it will make it much easier on her.
3.) To send your SAT scores to Drew, you must go onto the college board website, sign in, and there will be a specific area where you can send your scores. It costs $9.99 per college I think...if you had your SAT scores sent to Drew with your final SAT, you should be fine, if not that's how you sned them.
4.) You should definitely send a transcript, which they will ask for if they haven't already. I advise you to put all these materials in one package so things don't get lost and make copies for future applications!

Also, is there a counselor at the community college you've attended? I'd recommend e-mailing them. They should be able to help you out a lot, including sending your complete application. Send them an e-mail maybe.

Best of luck!
