When applying to law school is your financial need a consideration in the admission process as it is in most of the undergraduate colleges?

Law school admissions are not officially “need blind”. However, the presumption is generally that you can find a sufficient amount of loans to finance your education without too much difficulty (make sure you have good credit!).

Sally’s answer is a little misleading - law schools do not consider need in the admissions process whatsoever.

There are only three things a law school cares about: (1) getting as many full pay students as possible to pay the exorbitant salaries of the Law School faculty or (2) giving a tuition discount by which the scholarship vaporizes in the following year for at least half of the recipients because of the method the school grades, or (3) getting in people with high LSAT’s and GPAs to game the US NEWS rankings, which helps getting in full pay lemons in subsequent years.
