Hi, I'm applying to Lawrenceville and a few other schools. While I have maintained a great deal of contact between the admissions officers of other schools, I have not received any emails from Lawrenceville. I was wondering if anyone else has had this same experience with the Admissions department at Lawrenceville and if it is normal.

I guess the AOs are just really busy at this time of the year. I didn’t receive many emails from Lawrenceville when applying last year either, unless I iniatiated the contact with questions.

BS33 when my child applied 2 years ago we did not hear one thing from Lawrenceville between the interview/visit and March 10th. We heard from every one of the other schools we visited in some form or another. To be honest, as a parent I found the lack of communication off-putting. Not hearing from the school for 6 months made me wonder how communication would be once my child attended. In the end, my child was accepted (though chose a different school) so I would not worry about the fact that you haven’t heard anything.

When I was applying, I also got the impression that Lawrenceville was cold and unwelcoming. However, as a current Lawrentian I can assure you all that the community here is the exact opposite–very nurturing, supportive and receptive. I guess our admission office isn’t doing the best job in creating a correct representation of the school.

Thanks for all the responses! It’s such a relief to know that it isn’t just me!

I received an email from Lawrenceville today about my completed application… You guys most likely received the same message.
