I'm planning on applying to 5 EA schools and one ED school... As far as those schools are concerned, applying to many EAs and one ED does not violate their EA/ED policies...

I've rarely seen anyone apply to more than 2 or 3 EA schools while applying to one ED school...

Are people just really committed to their ED school or are they just simply too lazy to apply to many schools or is it bad to apply to many EA schools???

I don't think there's any problem with it. I think most people are dissuaded from doing many early action schools by the thinking that if they get into their first choice ED, they wouldn't have to do all those applications at all. But if, like me, you'd rather not wait, then go ahead!

Well you might be in some trouble if schools share their list of EA applicants. That might throw some doubt on if you truly have a passion for all those EA schools. But I think they only share a list of who they admit, so you should be fine.
