Applying to Med School as a Canadian

I will be attending a US college next year, but I am a Canadian citizen. When applying to Med School, am I considered an international applicant, even though I did my undergrad in the US?

This would mean that it will be harder for me to get in right? Because Med schools have a set quota for internationals?

I was also told that Canadian med schools do not compensate GPA of applicants from different countries. For example, a 3.8 at McGill is regarded as the same as a 3.8 from Princeton. Is this true?

Furthermore, I was told that students who did their undergrad at Canadian universities get their marks converted into American GPA's when they apply for US Med School and since the conversion is very generous, they end up with very high converted GPA's, is this true?

If all this is true, would this mean that I am screwed both ways when it comes to US and Can med school admissions?

Yes. International status for US med school admissions is based on nationality.
