Would I have any difficulty applying to a US med school after doing undergrad at McGill? I think that's one of the last things holding me back. My parents have a family friend who went to McGill, and apparently he only got admitted to a med school two years after graduating and didn't have a terrible GPA either. I haven't had the chance to really talk to him yet, but is the situation really that bad? The only other college worth going that I got into was BC. Which would be a better choice?

most certainly not, mcgill's med school is one of the top in the world, and if you're in the faculty of science here basically EVERYONE is pre-med (at least it seems that way) so everyone will be applying to schools in the states, and you'll get in somewhere! :)

...lol the "EVERYONE is pre-med" and "everone will be applying to schools in the states" REALLY worries me. lol doesn't that mean more competition? also how hard is to maintain a 3.8 GPA? I was looking at average GPA for med school in the US and most of them is about 3.7. is it doable at mcgill?
