Hi, I am aware that the Rutgers application deadline was December 1st. I would have been able to submit everything by then but I didn't get time to write the essay yet so therefore, I still haven't applied. I am applying for undergraduate studies at Rutgers University New Brunswick campus starting Fall 2011. The only missing part to my application is the essay since I've already sent my SAT/ACT scores. Can I still apply to Rutgers? I've heard that the December 1st deadline was just a priority kind of deadline. Is it still rolling admissions? Thanks to anybody who can answer this because I would not like to spend a lot of my time writing the required essay and paying the $65 application fee if my application wouldn't even be considered.

From the Rutgers Admissions site: (always a good place to look!)

Students may apply after due dates have passed. However, students who apply after the due dates or whose files remain incomplete after due dates for credentials submission have passed will be withdrawn from admissions consideration if their school(s) of application meet enrollment goals before University Undergraduate Admissions reviews their applications.

So I would go ahead and apply as quickly as you can.

Thanks! I actually did read that quite a few times but I guess I was just confused on the part where it says “…will be withdrawn from admissions consideration if their school(s) of application meet enrollment goals before University Undergraduate Admissions reviews their applications” So I tried to do some research on my schools of application to find their enrollment goals but couldn’t quite find it so I was a bit confused as to whether I still have time to apply or not. But okay, thank you! :)
