Applying to Scholarship that require certain careers

I want to apply to certain scholarships, but some of them say that I have to be pursuing a career in certain field. For all of these scholarships, I am INTERESTED and MIGHT possibly pursue that field if I come to enjoy it in college. However, I am still undecided. What I want to know is: Is it still O.K. for me to apply to scholarships like these?

For example one states "Applicants must demonstrate journalistic excellence, a strong interest in pursuing broadcast journalism as a career, and a commitment to
community involvement."

Can I apply for this still if I am interested in journalism but am not sure if I will major in it?

Contact the organizations that gives the scholarships and ask them. Every scholarship has its own requirements, and each granting organization may say something different. There's no way we, on an Internet board, could know.
