I'm currently a Freshman at Penn State and I really want to transfer to another university. I have 7 other universities that I want to apply to.
The Common Application essay questions asks me to state why I want to transfer..

Every example I've read, and all the tips say that I should mention why I want to transfer to that SPECIFIC university.

How do I write a general essay? Wouldn't that sound bad?

I'm sorry for the long rant; I'm just very worried.

1- I’m in the 2+2 program so I’m spending two years in a branch campus which I don’t really like.

2- I would like to go to a more prestigious school.

3- Most importantly, I need to go to a state or city that my sister is going to study in. We’re international students so it makes sense for us to be together.

My question is: The personal statements that I’ve read all include the name of the university that the students want to transfer TO and the reasons why they think that specific school fits better. I’m applying to 7, so it has to be general and I don’t know how to approach it.
