<p>Can one apply to several schools under an ED plan simultaneously? I want to apply to both of my "Reaches" under ED. According to the statistics, there is a higher acceptance rate for ED applicants at the colleges I am thinking of applying to. And if accepted under ED to both (Utopia:)), can I withdraw my application from one of them? I know that ED plan is binding, but do I still have the right to do that?</p>
<p>No, you can only apply to one school ED, because it is binding. If you apply to 2 ED and get into both, both would expect you to go, and you obviously cannot do that.</p>
<p>However, if either school has ED II (a later date for applying ED), you can apply to one ED, and if you get deferred or rejected, apply to the second under ED II.</p>
<p>Agree with what Chedva said. Additionally, since when you apply ED, every plan I've ever heard of has you agree to not apply ED elsewhere, you would be applying under false pretenses, and very likely would lose your acceptance (should you otherwise receive it) to both schools.</p>
