Hey guys, I wanted to start a thread for anyone with any doubts or concerns about the UT Austin application. I, myself, have some questions I would appreciate if someone could answer.

  1. I am looking to apply to McCombs. I know that UT requires Essay A. I also see that there are two other optional essays. Are we required to do one or two of them or is it optional?
  2. I know recommendation letters are optional for UT but I am looking to send them in. Do I have to mail in my letters after I am done applying? If so, how many recommendation letters are recommended and how many have to be from core subject teachers?

  1. Essay A and one of the other essays is required. A lot of people do three.
  2. You can upload letters into the document management system after you apply. They can be from anyone, not just teachers.
