hi I'm finishing up my college apps to UT Austin, Texas A&M, & for Topic C which is

"Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extra-curricular
activities might help you achieve your goals."

Does anyone know what exactly do i write about for my "current academic activities" ?
do they mean like each of the classes I'm taking right now in my senior yr. ?
or in general like math, science, english, history?

I'd really appreciate any help bc my essay deadlines are approaching(Dec.1st)
once i know i can quickly finish them up , i just need some clarification plz

also my other classes i’m taking other than my core classes are advanced welding, computer science, computer maintenance. Do i write about those as well , if so would they be considered academic or extracurricular?

What are your lifetime goals? Think about that part of the question first. Then think about which of your current activities outside of school or in the classroom are helping you move forward down the path to achieving those goals. Describe how what you are doing now or have done (academically or otherwise) propels you toward your goals.

I think they want you to explain your goals (honestly I’ve taken to just making them up to fit the prompt) and nicely and neatly mention different things you’ve done that will help with that. It doesn’t seem to lend itself to much creativity or originality, in my opinion.

thank you.
& if my lifetime goal is not academic, but my “current & future academic activities” serve the purpose of helping me reach my lifetime goal. Can I still write about how becoming a physicist, etc. will help me reach my lifetime goal?

also could anyone elaborate what I can write about for Topic B?
“Describe a circumstance, obstacle or conflict in your life, and the skills and resources you used to resolve it. Did it change you? If so, how?”

could I write about a medical condition? BC for Texas A&M I don’t have the option to write about a medical condition.
or could I write about how turned my life around after facing a dilemma?

Topic B is self-explanatory. Just make sure you emphasize on how it changed you. I think you could write about a medical condition, but make sure you don’t write it with a negative but positive attitude.
