<p>i am out. got a letter today DATED MAY 15TH. knowing that i was holding off on other options (and they did because i responded that way by email and telephone) it would have been nice if they would have soldiered up and let me know by phone or email on the 15th and then send the snail mail my way. maybe it is sour grapes, but it seems rather wimpy of them to ignore me for a turn down, but they are calling people to give the good news. i am pretty excited about my rotc opportunity so it isnt all bad. i really am happy for all of you that got your appointments. i wish you all the best. stay safe.</p>

<p>brman, good luck to you and best wishes with the ROTC. One of my close relatives did ROTC and became an AF officer. He loved every minute of his college experience. He has done extremely well as an officer in the AF and just finishing a terrific career. I'm sure you will too...take care!</p>

<p>Have heard from a very reliable source that approximately 95% of the class has been established and the class size is comparable to the numbers for the Class of 2010 (270 range).</p>
<p>One word of wisdom: Keep your record clean. CGA is really cracking down on alcohol related offenses. Please be wise with the choices you make between now and RDay, these could effect your offer of appointment.</p>

<p>Well I've currently enrolled in Towson Univ. which I will transfer to UMBC in the spring to run track. Next year I plan to re-apply if this year does not work out.</p>
<p>From reading your posts on 3 different forums, anyone can tell you it's not your enthusiasm or attitude that is keeping you out! </p>
<p>I hope you continue to "stay positive" and keep up the fight, don't give up on what sounds like a dream.</p>
<p>Well.... I sure knew that it wasnt my enthusiasm but more or less my SAT scores and a little thinking that my chosen major (management) didnt mean 'class needs' But none the less, got my rejection letter today Dated May 21st...</p>
<p>A little sad that my AO didnt call, like he said he would, but then again who wants to be the bearer of bad news?</p>
<p>All in all, a very testing journey and one that will always be w/ me throughout my life. Thanks for everything everyone on this board has done and wish me good luck in my State Championships tomorrow!</p>

<p>Colby - so sorry to hear. I don't post much but feel like I know you anyway. I was rooting for you in 2011 but I suppose your gift of enthusiasm is something 2012 will get! You go for it. Do well this fall and don't let this get you down. Anyone can see that you have a great deal to offer - go out and show them all! Can't wait to hear you're there for 2012! </p>

<p>Well CB I was hoping that you got in. My S accepted his appointment yesterday as he was deciding I was thinking if he said no you might be next. I think there is some process to keep you file active....for 2012 I would call you AO and asks.</p>
