Apps due on March 1 or by March 1?

<p>For schools that have a March 1 deadline, do we have to submit by March 1 or can we submit on March 1?</p>

<p>There have been a couple of threads on this. General consensus from entomom and others: due on March 1 means due at March 1 at 23:59. Being neurotic enough to get the “Junior Member” tag on CC, I called two of the four schools to which I’m applying that have March 1 due dates (already finished the other two), and they agreed. March 1 means March 1 at 23:59.</p>
