Appyling Undeclared

Does applying undeclared increase your chances of getting into a school?

Yes and no. If your are interested in a very competitive major such as engineering, computer science, biology, psychology etc. and you do not apply directly for that major, you may not be able to switch later on (sometimes students term this as a backdoor). If you are truly undecided, this will give you time to explore your many options and may increase your chances. It depends upon the school on which you are applying so you need to check if they admit by major or by college.
