<p>Is anyone going to UChicago on the 20th and the 21st? I actually have never been to the campus before and I'm nervous about going alone... My mom is going to be out of town that weekend and so my only option is going up there alone... Gah... (sigh) Let me know if you're going!</p>

<p>I might be going on the 20th and 21st, even though I'm from CT and I've already visited. Both Midway and O'Hare are both well connected with public transportation (rail and bus, maybe taxi/shuttle?), but I don't know if all of those options are safe/not safe and what not.</p>
<p>O'Hare would be at least an hour on public transportation and a very expensive taxi ride. Midway wouldn't be so bad for a taxi ride, and there's a bus from Midway to UChicago.</p>

<p>I'll be there on the 20th/21st. Public transportation from Midway to campus seems pretty simple, and I'm sure people at the airport can help you. I think I'm flying out on Weds to stay with a friend on campus so I can be there bright and early on Thursday.</p>
<p>I'm flying into Midway Wednesday night and staying in a hotel with Grandma/Mom, who will drop me on campus and then go and visit relatives for a couple of days (my family is from Chicago).</p>
<p>Do you think its really that useful to go if you've already done an overnight and have been given a tour of all the dorms? Or is it more of a social gathering thing, than just a "come see our campus!".</p>
