April Visits

So, I was checking out the Facebook group and someone mentioned that Chicago pays our airline ticket to visit? Yet, I couldn't find it.

Is that true? Do they offer some sort of travel expense stipend (say like part of your ticket like some other schools do) for the April visits?

Thanks!

Only if of indicates it on your homepage under 'visiting'.

I'm from Texas, but no airfare for me. :(

Maine and no airfare offers for me.

They probably take your finances into consideration, considering how the FA office has basically all the financial info on your family that any institution could want. :D

I hope not, because if I'm worried about a plane ticket, I'm gonna need some serious aid!

As far as I know, the travel expenses are sponsored by the multicultural recruitment center.
They've been doing that for a while now.

If you can't afford a ticket on Southwest to Midway airport, the cheapest and closest option to campus, you're going to have a real problem with college expenses. :)

Seriously, now is a good time to start learning about how to do cheap travel, if you come from a family that cares about expenditures. You need to learn what websites really have, and how travelocity is not always the cheapest. You need to learn the difference between flying into O'hare and Midway - how it affects time and cost (hint: it is a cheap bus ride from Midway to Hyde Park, straight shot. There is no direct cheap public transit from O'hare. Cheap or direct, not both.)
