April ACT: What did you think?

It was 2sin2x, if you know your trig identities this should be an easy one sin2x=2sincos, the problem had 4sincos which is similar to 2(2sincos) or 2sin2x

and then there was an answer that was 630.
i think there was another one that was 270 or something im not sure.

For science michelle? there was an answer of 120 and 630

viciouspoultry, was that choice A?

in NH3-CO4 passage, there was one with 120 as the answer and another with 630.

BTW, what would -2 in reading get? what about -1 in english?

For the 2sin2x one? I think it was

I am assuming you'll get a 35 on both

yea it was the first choice. i got lucky and just plugged it in my calc.

do you guys remember this question in the english section. the sentence went something like this: "there were many sites on a Mexican plateau, where monarch butterflies lived...." the part of the sentence that was underlined was sites.

they gave choices as sites' and site's which were obviously wrong but i was stuck between no change and "sites," I don't even in fact remember what I ended up picking. what do you guys think?

Looking back making it "sites, on a mexican plateau, where..." seems too choppy but i'm still not really sure because there is that grammar rule where if you can take out the phrase within the commas and the sentence still makes sense then it's fine.

@best: it was A or F no change

well if it's an appositive, you can take it out of the sentence and still know what it's talking about. i dont think you need commas because if you take out that phrase, you won't really know what's going on.

ok guys,

i thought the rectangle transformation problem was (4, -7)?

also, i agree with no change for the "sites..." one, no commas

and for the limestone question, was it 15-20?
cuz i think limestone qualifies as sedimentary right?

agree with everything the poster above said.

I'm pretty sure it was "no change" for the sites question and I think the limestone question was 15-20, but I'm not sure about the rectangular transformation (can't remember question exactly).

pretty sure it was (4,-7) for the math, i drew it out and the change was (-x,y-10)

for the limestone i was utterly bewildered

yeah i got (4,-7). other ppl on the forum got (-4,-7)

After thinking about it again, I'm pretty sure the rectangular transformation question was (4,-7).

it was 4, -7

This was my first time taking th ACT, and I thought it was a lot harder than the practice tests I did. I was rushed for time on the reading and science especially. The english was super easy and with the math I only had trouble on a few. I completely screwed up on that 4sinxcosx one though, I totally forgot my trig identities. Oh, and does anyone remember the garden plot one about how many rows of vegetables could be planted? (Sorry if you've already talked about it, I didn't see it in the previous pages.)

were both of those options?
