April is not coming soon enough!

Does anyone else feel like their life is like the movie, RUDY right now?

for sure. do you have a lake nearby where you will sit and read your letter when it comes??!!

Has anyone called Admissions to see when the letters will be mailed? All at once, etc.? Before or after Easter?

no...good idea, tho. i think you should call!!!

I called Admissions a few weeks back and they were very specific that all letters went out at the same time. Website states "early April". I've tried calling today and all I get is a busy signal. They are either getting swamped with questions or they took the phone off the hook. Getting notified the first week of April with only about three weeks to decide is asking a little too much. When will the financial aid awards come out, April 29th? :-)

thank you, bsonin...agreed, April is so late. even the huge University of California schools manage to fininsh all by end of Mar. this is TORTURE! ...PRAYING!

Hmmmm... do they give out financial aid to international students? Waiting for their decision also.

They mass mail the letters on April 1st.. I'm almost positive, and yes.... it's the same for me with my family too. The answer is going to be a huge thing for me... best of luck to all

hi everybody!

I am over here in Rhode Island anxiously awaiting this letter from Notre Dame. I called the other day to ask questions about the open houses in April because for me to come from Rhode Island might take some planning. Anyway, the lady from the office informed me that letters will be mailed out "at the end of next week". So that puts us at about March 31st or April 1st.
Just wanted to let everyone know.

And I was wondering for those applicants more aware of the reputation and type of students at Notre Dame, are they from all over the country or mostly the midwest? I just dont want to get too homesick because there are barely any New Englanders around. This would be the only thing holding me back from attending if i am fortunate enough to be accepted.
Let me know your thoughts on this.

I've heard that about 50% of the students are from the midwest, but hey if I get in we can hang out because I'll be missing my west siders while you miss the new englanders. I've heard good things about midwesterners that they are genuine and down to earth, sounds good to me.

The student that gave us our campus tour was from Boston (if I remember correctly).

I represent from the Midwest, and I agree with those adjectives.

OK - Here is the answer that I got over the phone from the Admissions Office today. Acceptance Letters will be mailed out tomorrow (April 1st) via U.S. Mail. So watch your mailbox on Saturday and Monday. I was also told that Financial Aid Award letters will NOT be included with the acceptance letters. They will go out separately - not sure when - hopefully very soon to help people make decisions.

Rejection letters too? Or do those come later?

I can't wait for letters. Notre Dame's my top pick, and I just got rejected today from two schools. Good luck everyone.

I am fairly sure that all letters will go out in the mail today, either acceptance or rejection.

So how is it that some people have already been rejected RD?

i heard that the letters were actually sent out yesterday, and will be arriving today. It could be just a rumor but it doesnt mean that im not going to be speeding home after school and finding out. Should be fun!

I called the admissions office.. and told them that I had heard something similar to what docmom said... they mailed them out yesterday... so depending where you live maybe you'll hear today.

All I can tell you is that the person I spoke to in the Admissions Office told me that the acceptance letters were going to go in the mail today.
