I'm currently a junior and was wondering which APs I should take if I intend to go pre med? Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch

Medical schools generally do not accept AP credit in place of pre-med required courses, although they often do accept more advanced courses if you take them in lieu of the introductory courses if your university allows you to do that with AP credit. Check with the universities and medical schools to be sure.

Otherwise, you at least want to take the most advanced English, math, and science (particularly chemistry and biology) courses you have in high school; even if AP credit is not usable, you want the best preparation for the university level courses. If you are not certain of which AP tests may be usable, then you may want to take them anyway, since it is easier to discard useless AP credit than to wish you had taken a useful AP test for credit.

Note that no particular major is required for pre-med – the pre-med courses can be taken alongside any major. As most pre-meds do not get into medical school, you may want to consider choosing a major that suits your other academic and professional interests in the case you do not go to medical school.
